International Differences in Gradients in Early Childhood Overweight and Obesity: The Role of Maternal Employment and Formal Childcare Attendance

European Journal of Public Health誌に、英・米・独・仏・蘭・日の六カ国の研究者による共同研究で、乳幼児の肥満と家庭背景の関係の国際比較研究を出版しました。ここでは親の学歴をSES指標とし、特に、保育所と母親の就業がSESが肥満に与える影響をどう修正しているか、各国の大規模長期追跡データを利用、特に、データを比較可能な形で調和させて分析、比較しました。Lidia Panico, Liz Washbrook, Jane Waldfogel, Renske Keizer, Sabine Weinertを中心とした国際チームで、日本からは、野崎華世、亀山友理子、赤林が参加しました。JSPS-ORAプロジェクトの成果です。
